Single Yarn Systems
SPRINTURF is a leader in the development of single-yarn systems (also called parallel long slit fiber systems) that incorporate the best of Exxon resin technology, which provides unmatched fiber durability and UV resistance. Its monofilament fibers are also designed to provide exceptional strength and playability based on proprietary fibrillation innovations and leading edge extrusion capabilities.
Ultrablade
Proven parallel long-slit fibrillated fiber system with exclusive Exxon polymer technology. Over 300 fields installed in the U.S. since 2006 without a single yarn failure.
Sprinturf helped develop the parallel long slit fiber systems back in 2004. In 2006, ITS started manufacturing its parallel long slit fiber for SPRINTURF, and the legend known as Ultrablade was started. The fiber used in Sprinturf’s Ultrablade system has a proprietary fibrillation pattern that results in unsurpassed wear resistance and exceptional surface playability.
Sprinturf incorporates Exxon resin technology into its Ultrablade fiber, which provides unmatched fiber durability and UV resistance when compared to other fibers. Sprinturf has installed over 200 Ultrablade fields in the U.S. since 2006 without a single yarn failure. Installations include Utah State University, Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania.
Ultrablade MX
The Ultrablade MX is the newest member of the Ultrablade family. This spinneret monofilament fiber system uses the same yarn that is used in the Ultrablade MM. The yarn is 260 microns thick to provide exceptional durability and resistance to fiber layover. The elliptical shape of the fiber reduces the risk of splitting and helps to keep the fiber more vertically upright over time.
Dow’s C8 resin technology ensures that the Ultrablade MX fiber will maintain it structural integrity in all weather conditions, and provide a great playing surface for many years to come.
Dual-Yarn Systems
SPRINTURF's proprietary Dual-Yarn Systems, comprised of Ultrablade DF Elite, make up over 90% of our installations since 2006 and is a leader in artificial turf technology. This dual fiber technology is one of the biggest sellers for SPRINTURF and is the most requested by customers.
Ultrablade DF Elite
SPRINTURF DF Elite fields withstand countless hours of play and provide the ultimate in strength and durability. The combination of monofilament and parallel-fibrillated fibers interlock to nearly eliminate infill flyout a common complaint amongst athletes, coaches and parents.
Since 2007, Ultrablade DF Elite has led the way in dual fiber technology. Our Ultrablade parallel long-slit fiber provides a dense canopy and proven durability. Our proprietary spinneret monofiber enhances performance and provides natural grass aesthetics. Independent testing confirms that DFE fibers have exceptional tuft bind and product durability.
